What a difference two years make.

That's right folks, my son is two today. That seems unreal. I know it sounds cliche but it really seems like just yesterday he was a tiny baby that loved to snuggle in my arms and then today he is a stubborn two year old who clearly knows more than I do. It is a strange feeling. I am so happy to see his independence growing by the day but it makes me feel so slightly obsolete. I am sure this will only get worse and worse but it is bittersweet.

Here is Griffen on the day he was born. So perfect and sweet! And oh how naive Brad and I were!

Here if Griffen now. So full of sh*t! I ask him to smile and this is the smart little thing that he does.

This morning I made muffins so that I could put a candle in one and he could blow it out because he loves doing that. Well, I may have tried a little too early because when Brad and I started singing happy birthday, he burst into tears and didn't stop for five minutes! Urgh, drama king!

Horses and Pumpkins

Well, another day, another dollar. Things just keeping ticking away around here. Griffen is going to be 2 years old next week. Wow, how time flies! The other day Grandpa, Jesse, Laura and Dad moved cows to our house on the horses so I took all four boys out for a ride. Griffen was totally excited, the babies, not so much. Above is Griffen riding with Aunt Laura. He was having fun and getting used to Dunnit.

Here is Boady on Jasper, he did not really like being on top of the horse. Keep in mind all the kids are trying to get over their head colds.

Here is Cale on Jasper. He acted like he didn't know the difference between the horse and the couch. He was just cool and calm.

Here is Rance on Jasper. He seemed okay but he was so busy pulling Uncle Gary's chest hair out that the horse was rather dull!

By the end, Griffen was not wanting anyone to help him. he held the reins and the saddle horn and then even let go to wave. He was loving Dunnit at this point.

Then on Saturday October 4th, we went to the pumpkin patch out in Paul. The kids LOVED it. It was a rainy day but we picked just the right time between storms and the weather was beautiful. We took a couple of pictures at home of the whole family in case the children got too muddy to recognize at the patch.

Here is Griffen choosing his pumpkin. He really chose some nice pumpkins.

Here are Boady (left) and Cale (right). They had these cute painted up wheelbarrows that we put the boys in. They really seemed to enjoy riding along!

Griffen loved running around the patch itself. They have it set up so that there are a bunch of pumpkins cleaned and categorized to purchase or you can go out into the patch and choose your own. We went out there just for the boys to play and it was well worth it. Griffen kept throwing dirt clods in the air and watching them break. He had a wonderful time running crazy.

Here is Cale in the patch. The boys mostly enjoyed eating the mud and the weeds.

Here is Boady with a little evidence of the mud still on his face. All in all, it has been a WONDERFUL week!

Yeah, finally a new post!

Oh my, so much has been going on! The twins are trying to walk! How crazy is that! They each have six teeth. The four most recent ones are just through the skin so I will post pictures f those when you can see them better. Griffen has been very busy as well. He is definately getting stubborn and want st d EVERYTHING by himself. He is very into Jon & Kate plus 8. He loves watching "the kids"!

Here is Grandma Bene hanging out with her three little guys. She had to go out of town for some training for her new job and when she got back the kids just went crazy for her. They love her and so do we, she is such a huge help to us!

Here is Griffen taking a page out of Amuma's book, (Grandma Teresa). He was playing on Uncle Jesse's slot machine and loving every minute of it!

Here we are at what has become our annual Labor Day trip to Lake Cleveland. We had a good time but that day it was 32 degrees. It was SO COLD! The wind was also blowing a million miles an hour. It was fun to take the kids though and we always try to get a picture.

This was on the way down the mountain. Griffen hates to have the sun in his eyes so he wears Brad's hat to keep it out. He is so adorable.

Griffen loves to help Grandpa Gary feed the cows. He now gets to steer the wheel and he tells the cows to get "out the way" with a sweep of his arm. The babies are generally down for a nap at this time but once in a while they have to sit around and wait for Griffen to finish. We informed Grandpa that he has to upgrade the feed truck to tote around all three boys!

Storybook Park

We have been meaning to take the kids here all summer long. For those of you who do not know, storybook park is this big newer park in Burley. It is awesome. Griffen ran our butts off! He loved the big tube slides but he likes yelling into them more than he did going down them. Brad and I each got a chance to play with Griffen and the twins were also very good.

Here is Boady (left) and Cale (right) in the swing. The higher they went the happier they were. I didn't leave them in here too long because they are getting chunky monkey!

Here is Cale!

Here is Boady!

This was Griffen on the Merry Go Round. We met this sweet little girl named Victoria who kept pushing him around. She was nice. Good times. We enjoyed ourselves! We look forward to many more fun times at the park.

Learning makes me really tired!

Let's see, hmmmmm, in the last four days here are the events of the days: Griffen has learned about 5 - 10 words, (hi, bye, please, treats, etc), Cale and started army crawling and standing on the couch while being helped up, and Boady has gone from army crawling to real crawling and also stands really well! Wow, how am I ever going to keep up at this pace?????

Here is Griffen with his babysitter Andrea on her scooter! He loved it! He had SUCH a good time just tooling around! Andrea is a super sweet girl who lives just down the road and she comes over at least once a week to help me with the boys. She is truly a God send!

Here are the boys in their highchairs. I wasn't going to buy a second one but they are such wiggle worms! I cannot keep them in anything else in order to feed them. That, by the way, is a whole other full time job in itself! They are eating a lot of table food now also.

Here Cale has Griffen pinned. The boys all play SO well together! Griffen is usually on top though. I try to sit back and only intervene if someone starts getting upset. The boys can sure take a lot from Griffen. He just does what makes them laugh though. They love it when he wrestles them. I know that we are in for a whole lot of bumps and bruises but it will sure be a fun ride!

4th of July and Cale and Boady's 3 month check

Our boys are growing so fast! I just love them in blue also, that is why you will find so many pictures of them in these outfits. Our days have been going well, just extra fast!

The 4th was awesome. We went to the parade in the morning and that was fun. Griffen loved all of the cars, trucks, tractors, horses, etc. The little boys didn't really like the sirens but they did all right though.

Boady

Cale

The boys hung out on the ground and tried to fly away! They are actively trying to crawl. They are getting pretty close. Each boy has his two bottom teeth now. It is so hard for kids getting those darn teeth.

Here is Griffen burning sparklers with his cousins. He had such a wonderful time playing with Brad's family on the 4th. The kids are closer to his age and he just loves kids. We had a wonderful BBQ at our house and watched the fireworks from our porch! Ah, the good life. Boady and Cale had their 6 mo check up yesterday. Boady is weighing 18 lbs and is 26 1/4 in long. Cale is weighing 20 lbs and is 27 1/2 in long. It is so funny because Griffen loves to hold them and give them "horsey rides" (we hold the babies on his back while he crawls around) and they are almost as big as he is. He last weighed about 32 pounds just on our home scales. Boy, these guys are growing and I'll tell you why. They are eating us out of house and home! Oh well, that will be the story of my life for a while now!

Has it been that long already?

Sorry it has taken me so long to update. He have just been plugging along. We went to the Calderon Linn the other day. It was fun but NERVE RACKING! It is just a small falls near Murtaugh. We ket a death grip on Griffen's hand. It was nice to have a picture there. I am sure we will go again soon. Looking at the picture, Boady is on the left and Cale is on the right.

Then we have been doing some casterating. Here is a picture of Griffen on the horse with Aunt Lou. He had fun.

Then he managed to help Daddy mow the lawn the same day. I missed the picture but it was way cute when Griff and Daddy both had their hats and shades on. How cute.

Then Jerri and Dan stayed the night with us Sunday night and we took some pictures. Boady is on Jerri's lap and Cale is on mine.

We survived the wedding weekend...

... but it did take me four days to recuperate. It was an awesome weekend but was jam packed. Thursday night we had the rehersal dinner.

Griffen was smitten with the flower girl. She is such a cutie. I couldn't get any pictures of the two of them together but they were adorable. She was almost three and Griffen was in love. He kept getting right about an inch from her face and wouldn't let her move. Finally he loosened his grip on her. They were cute together.

Then Friday night we went to a bar-b-que at Kindig's house. That was fun. Good food. The babies got loved on by everyone and Griffen just ran around like a mad man. In the Picture Aunt Sally is holding Boady and Grandma Jackie is holding Cale.

We got to hang out with family from out of town. It was GREAT to see and visit with Uncle John and Aunt Sally. This of course is Jesse and Laura with Uncle John and Aunt Sally. The Kindigs hosted a wonderful weekend for all of us.

Now, I know this picture is blurry but I thought it was wonderful. The bridesmaids were feeding the babies while we were getting pictures done.

Dad kept trying to keep Griffen busy while we were waiting for pictures. I know this thing is so dark and blurry but both of these guys scatter when I pull out the camera. This is Dad with Griffen in a little room at the church.

The wedding was WONDERFUL. Laura looked amazing and Jesse looked as good as Jesse ever looks. Hahaha.

The kids were all OK at the wedding. They didn't win any awards for good behavior though. Thank goodness Sherry and Leland were there to take Griffen outside to play during the ceremony. It was all wonderful and we have lots of memories to share now!

The four amigos!

Don't think that I could manage a picture of all four of them though! What do you think I am a miracle worker?

Cale, Rance, Boady

That’s right. I am a glutton for punishment! I started watching Rance Henry Walter yesterday. It was the most amazing day!
All four kids were awesome. They set the bar REALLY high so I am worried about watching him again today. I am only watching him 2-3 times a week. It will be good for my kids. Griffen loves and hugs and kisses on him a lot. Rance seems to like him because he smiles at him all the time. Cale and Boady don’t really notice him much but they shared their Mama time really well though.
Summer time is here! Griffen is modeling his shades in the house! What a cutie!
