Happy Easter

Well, yes, Griffen has his mouth full but this was about a good of a family picture that we were going to get. We had a wonderful Easter. The boys all looked very handsome in their Easter outfits that Grandma Bene got them. The boys pants were all too big and when Brad stood up holding Cale, his pants fell clean off. It was funny.

Griffen had a great time playing with toys during dinner at Grandma Jackie's house.

This is not the best picture of the boys but it will have to do. It is the only one of them in their snazzy outfits. Boady is on your left and Cale is on your right. They are both rolling from their stomach to their backs now. I can't believe how fast they are learning things.

Then we went out to Aunt Carla's house and had an Easter egg hunt. Griffen did very well and found lots of eggs. We ate SO much candy! He was on a total sugar high. He did circles around this one wall at Aunt Carla's. It was funny.

Family Picture

Ok, not a lot new going on but Mom and Dad were over yesterday and we got a picture of all five of us. Not an easy feat but, here we are!

Feast or famine!

Either post 10 times a month or not at all! I had to share pictures of my handsome boys! As you can tell you can have a couple of them happy or looking at the camera but never all at once!

Here is a picture of Griffen kissing on smily Boady. The twins are definately starting to smile a lot more now.

Griffen continues to love on the boys like crazy and they are getting better and better every day. Still not sleeping too well but I assume that will come with time. They are on some medicine for reflux and I think that is helping. At their well child checks on 3/5/08, Cale weighed 12 lb 6 oz, Boady weighed 11 lb 5 oz and Griffen weighed 28 lb and 8 oz. Do I know how to grow them or what? Here is a super cute picture of Griffen and Grandma.

She is still top of the totem pole but I am slowly working my way up. He adores that woman! Here is a picture of me and Boady and Griffen. We don't exactly get family pictures because there always has to be someone behind the camera.

And lastly here is a picture of the four most important men in my life. It is not the most professional picture but it reminds me of how much I love them all.

Quick update

Sorry it has taken me so long. Oh my goodness, it has been an entire month since the last time that I posted. I broke my wrist last weekend so I do have an excuse for the last four days but nothing more. The boys are all doing SO well. We are going to the doctor today for a well child check for all of them. Two weeks ago Boady was weighing 11 lb 2 oz and Cale was weighing 12 lb 2 oz. They are growing like crazy. The boys have been very fussy lately but I continue hoping that it is a phase that is about to pass. They are starting to smile a lot more and holding their heads up so well. This is a picture of Boady first, and then Cale.

I have started putting them in clothes that Griffen used to wear and it is so nice to see them looking so much like him. Here is a picture from Griffen when he was two months old. I think that they are looking a lot alike.
Mom has been helping tons of course. Here is a picture of us doing our evening routine. Mom always helps when she is here. We bath the babies then feed their last feeding and off to bed.
All right, well at least it is a little update. I hope that it will be more frequent.

Finally, an update

Sorry that it has been so long since I have posted. I have been having some internet problems. Things are going very well for all of us Bakers. Griffen is enjoying the snow and has a great time playing in it!

He also likes to watch it snow out the window. The other night Brad and I were getting ready for volleyball and Griffen wanted to play. Here is a picture of him in Brad's knee pads:

Then, the other day Brad and I were gone all day and Grandma Bene and Amuma watched all three boys. They were very good. Here is a picture of the twins with Amuma:

I will be taking Cale and Boady to the doctor soon for their two month check-up. I cannot wait to see how much they weigh! They are growing fast. Here are a couple of pictures of the boys in some new outfits from a friend:

Cale is in the brown and Boady is in the stripes.

BATH TIME!

Cale (top) Boady (bottom)

Well, we finally gave the boys a real bath, no more of this spit bath garbage! Neither one of them cried when I put them in the water. They only cried when I took them out. Looks like they are going to enjoy bathing just like their big brother Griffen.

Things are going really well for us here. Cale and Boady are starting to be awake a lot more often but unfortunately, that is mostly at night. Sleep is getting a little more scarce but thank God for my mother! She and Dad babysat all three kids last night so that Brad and I could go out and then she stayed the night so that we could get some sleep. Well, the twins really broke Grandma in good. She got an hour sleep at the most. Whew, thank goodness it was Grandma's night! They haven't kept me up that bad yet but I am a little nervous about tonight. Hopefully they will sleep better.

Not a lot new to report...

But, no news is good news. Things around here are great. The biggest excitement of our day is trying to quiz people as to who is who. The boys are looking more and more alike every day!

This is Boady on the top and Cale on the bottom. They do like to smile but mommy is not fast enough with the camera! When Griffen was a baby, it was easy to have the camera at the ready but now that Griffen is a "big boy," we have to keep lots of things out of reach. The little poop knows how to use electronics at least as well as his dad does! Ha ha ha. But the other day he called mom while playing with my cell phone and he knows how to review the pictures on the camera too.

Here is Griffen outside playing in the snow. He definitely gets cabin fever. Brad has been really good about trying to find time each day to take him out and get a little fresh air. Brad said that on this particular day, it was warmer and snow was melting off the roof. Well Griff enjoyed standing under the water running off the roof and letting it drip on his hood. Thank goodness for the winter coat from cousin Micah. It is waterproof and perfect for taking a winter shower. He also likes to stomp out designs in the snow with his new snow boots. He is getting to be so big now that he is a big brother.

Another pediatrician appointment.

Well, the boys went to the doctor again today and all is well. We have two perfectly healthy little boys. Cale weighed in at 5 lb 13 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. Boady weighed in at 5 lb 3 oz and was 18 3/4 inches long. We are now free and clear. We just have to go back in two months for a normal recheck. That is a wonderful feeling after having worried about the little guys. I know, I know, that is what it's like being a mother. Lots and lots of worry. Griffen continues to love his little brothers. He gives us an anatomy lesson each time we change a diaper: "Griffen's feet, Boady's feet, Cale's feet. Griffen's head, Boady's head, Cale's head." Etc, etc, etc. It is fun to see him interact a little with his brothers.

Trying to get into a groove!

Cale

Boady

Well, it is much easier said than done that's for sure! Cale and Boady and doing really good, eating and sleeping well. I know that I am very spoiled, but at night I have to wake them up every 3 hours to eat. That is how well they are sleeping. Griffen is also doing very well. So far, (knock on wood), he is LOVING his new brothers. He enjoys kissing and hugging on them. He is fairly lucky right now, however, because the boys sleep so much we have a lot of time to play one on one with him. I guesse God knew what he was doing when he made older and younger siblings.

Here is a picture of the Three Baker Boys with their Uncle Jesse and Aunt Laura.

Here is a picture of the boys with Aunt Janell and Cousin Kara!

Cale is home today!

So happy to be able to tell you that Cale made it home today. Because he eats so well, he made it home a day or two earlier than expected. He and Boady are very happy to have each other so close. They are surely identical. The doctors say probably, I say definately. Griffen is doing VERY well with his new brothers. He likes to kiss them. The picture doesn't do it justice but it is just SO cute.

We are officially a family of five!

Boady Leland Baker

Cale Gary Baker

Cale Gary Baker and Boady Leland Baker made their way into this world on Saturday December 29th 2007 at approximately 5:30 pm by c-section. Cale was baby A, he weighed 5 lbs and 7 oz and was 19 1/2 in long and he came into the world with a low blood pressure. He gave us a good scare because he was as white as a ghost. The doctors stabilized him in the OR and then took him down to the NICU to be observed and stabilize his blood pressure. Boady was baby B, he weighed 4 lb 15 oz, and was 18 in long. They both screamed a lot and that sure made me feel good hearing that. The c-section itself took about 45 minutes probably and then they took me to our recovery room which was our regular room. Brad spent a lot of time ushering between babies and me. Boady was able to come right down to the room with us. Cale was stuck in the NICU for a few days until he could stabilize hat blood pressure. They started him on Dopamine at 1 mg and have been tittering him down over the last few days. The boys are adorable. I love them both. We are able to hold Cale several times a day and can visit him anytime that there is not an emergency in the NICU. The doctors are 99% sure that the boys are identical. I believe them. They look a lot alike. When we were able to put them together for just a very short while to get some pictures while Cale was doing well.

They went from screaming to content in nothing flat. Hopefully they will keep that up until they are 18! It was sweet because they sucked on each other's faces and even though they were both flailing their arms, it didn't seem to bother the other one at all. It is truly amazing. Boady and I are staying one more night at the hospital and I will update on Cale's status as soon as possible.

Another OB appointment

Well, we went to the doctor again yesterday and everything seems to be progressing well. I will be 26 wks along tomorrow. This is a big relief. I am aiming to have these little guys here on the first of January. That would be a fun one to have the New Year's Babies. I will take whatever God gives me though. Griffen is doing good. We were just over at mom and dad's and he was trying to open his Christmas gifts. He is such a ham! Wishing you all Christmas cheer. I will post some pictures of our Christmas as well!

Ok, bear with me here, this is my first try...

I decided that I had better get my affairs in order. The twins are making their presence felt and Griffen is keeping me running so I decided to get this blog up and going as early as possible. Not that early keep in mind. I am 35 weeks along today. The babies are getting big. My last ultrasound was this last Tuesday and the baby A measured 4 lb 10 oz and baby B weighed in at 5 lb 4 oz. The doctors say that everything looks good. I am scheduled for a C-section on January 8th if I don't go into labor on my own before that. I have to have a C-section however because baby B has his head up. Can't wait until they get here!
